Voki

A Voki is a talking avatar that you can embed into a blog or wiki. You can create your voki using a range of facial and other features before adding your own voice, or a computer generated voice.

 

You do have to be over 13 to sign up for a full account however, with a Voki for Education account teachers can create a class account to share with students. The Voki for Education site also has links to ideas for using Vokis.
